A Update & Invite--Topic: Holistic Care for ADHD & Related Cognitive Concerns

Sharon York

Hello, friends,

I have a couple updates and a couple invites.

I will be attending another workshop hosted by VINES. Don’t know about VINES, well, let me enlighten you..Jordyn and I attended a workshop the other night. We learned how to make soup. Fresh from the garden, “from scratch” SOUP! We love soup. It was fun and informative. Creamy Potato & Leek soup is fantastic. (P.S It’s on the menu at home this week)

The VINES Workshops are scattered throughout the Southern-Tier of NY and most are FREE but they do accept donations. I have followed their growth and hardwork for a few years and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!! what they are doing. Workshops are open to anyone including us in PA.

Personal note: I would love to create something similar in our area! Just saying!

OTHER UPDATES

Some of you know, I blended Allopathic and Holistic to create a path to maintain life with Lyme and that I have been looking for a more structured curriculum. During my last post, I had announced that I found The Herbal Academy. Well, I received an email from them about a new workshop they will be offering. It may be a coincidence but I had just spoken to a friend who is always looking for options to assist her daughter with ADHD.– especially during this fall season as the kids head back to school.

I find this topic SO timely and prevalent in children and adults I decided to share this learning opportunity with all of you.

Plus, I hear more and more from other concerned parents asking for suggestions for a child who are having a hard time getting into the rhythm of school, struggling to keep up with others, or causing regular disruptions in the classroom.

As you read this, maybe your child comes to mind. Perhaps a loved one, Maybe it’s you that is struggling to stay on task. Are you constantly feeling disorganized, losing focus, or regularly running late?  I know I have those moments. I did a little research

ADHD is an increasingly common condition in the US, and according to the Centers for Disease Control, nearly 10% of American children (more than 6 million) have been diagnosed with ADHD. The National Resource on ADHD notes that ADHD often persists into adulthood, affecting approximately 10 million adults!

While ADHD and related cognitive concerns can seem daunting and the task of finding reliable scientific based research and assistance can overwhelm a person. The goods news is that there are numerous holistic and herbal options that can help support those with these concerns.

So, If you are you looking for experienced guidance with herbal and lifestyle options to help navigate your way down this holistic path?

The Herbal Academy has teamed up with Maria Noël Groves, the author of one of my primary “Go to” books that I have in my personal library. It’s entitled- “Body in Balance, An herbal Guide to Holistic Self Care” to create and offer a 3-session series available online through the Herbal Academy.

Herbs for ADHD, Cognition, and Focus Intensive will address this very topic in three helpful video and written lesson sessions – it is available for a limited time!

I intend to sign up. Would you care to join me?

For an easy, non-committal registration, sign up for this Intensive on the Herbal Academy!
